The Gorean philosophy, as introduced to us by John Norman (John Frederick Lange, Jr., Ph.D.,) continues to expand throughout the world.  David/Ursa and swan are based in Portland, OR., and are part of a growing group of Goreans (Oregon/Washington,) who meet frequently off-line.

The pursuit for Gorean knowledge, and knowledge of ourselves, grows daily.

We often have people flying in from all over the USA, to attend our "Gatherings." There are other groups, all over the world, believing in one philosophy, having one wish, and working towards living a life that leaves 20th century teaching and conditioning behind.

The IRC channel owned by David/Ursa , is a place where free people and kajirae from all over the world,
come to meet to discuss Gorean philosophies, principles, practices, values and issues with their off-line lives.

Free and slave alike are always welcome, as are those who wish to learn more of themselves and those who are already embracing the Gorean ethos.

As we explored and researched other lifestyles, and took into account the needs of the other, we came to realise that only one - the Gorean way of life and its ethos, was exactly what we needed and what would make our lives complete.

We have been together for almost 8 years and married for over 5 years. We are living proof that a Gorean life can be lived.

We encourage even those who are Gor-curious to visit the GW channel and/or join the mailing list. We know of many people also incorporating Gorean philosophy into their lives and shedding the lives that society has forced upon us.

We will always believe that men are men, dominant and head of the household - and that women are feminine, submissive and sensual creatures.

The Gorean Whispers mailing-list which consists of around 700 members, has been actively discussing and helping others to  learn about Gor since 1997 and continues to be the oldest Gorean mailing list available to the Gorean community.

The Kajirae Whispers mailing list exists for discussion among OFF-line lifestyle kajirae only - membership is restricted to female slaves and the men they serve OFF-line. Period. The list is moderated by David/Ursa's girl, swan.

The PNW-Gorean Whispers Group, is purely for those who feel they can meet with us at some time, at a Gathering in Oregon.  It isn't a discussion list, but a means of tracking what events are happening and staying in touch with those who meet with us regularly off-line..

The #GoreanWhispers channel and its mailing list, are geared strictly towards intelligent discussion of Gorean philosophy and OFF-line matters - and how to apply the Gorean philosophy, values, and beliefs to one's real life - as is the Kajirae Whispers mailing list.

   

We do NOT discuss or bitch about what
happens in other on-line venues.

We will always endeavour to help people new
to Gor, providing their presence is non-confrontational and that their questions
are presented with respect.

We have been both mentor and friend to many people who aren't exactly sure what is missing in their D/s or "vanilla" world. They usually enter the channel quiet, wary, unsure, ready to leave at the slightest moment. We recognise them simply as people seeking to find something deeper and more meaningful than the relationships from which they've come.

Via questions, answers, research and eventually acceptance, we hope that they will come to see the truth of Gor and find within themselves the strength and conviction to be a part of the Gorean community.

We're not interested and definitely do NOT encourage any kind of role play that seems to be so prevalent on IRC or other chat venues. The on-line "serves," and flowery entrances into channel taking 15 minutes to type out, are soon squashed by the men there, who have no time for games.

As you browse our website, there's no point in searching for the the animals, foods, drinks, flora, fauna or measurements as described by John Norman in the Gor novels.  These were only the cultural trappings of the fictitious planet of Gor.

Our website, channel and mailing lists, are for discussion only - not a "tavern", a "hall", a "tower",
an "oasis", " gardens" OR "pick-up joints ."  The free will soon kick/ban from the channel or list, anyone found trolling.

First and foremost, this is not a website meant to cater to one's fantasies. It is purely about reality - taking the philosophies of Gor
and its ethos to real life.

We are not a "training channel for slaves." The thought of them is absurd.  Be careful of those channels and websites who claim to be such.  If you are Gorean, you will only find out through time, effort, discussion, self examination and learning more about life.
