(Ursa) I'm receiving repeated requests for information on how tika's doing..... Because I have too little screen, and can't keep more than about 1/2 a conversation going at a time, I'm going to tell you all here.... My apologies if this is information you've already seen. tika is, of course, devastated by the loss of her owner. She was closer to Hawke than anyone on this planet. In the past 36 hours I've held her as she sobbed over his loss, laughed at memories of him, and become angry that he left her

(Ursa) She stayed in my home on the night Hawke left us....we didn't get much sleep that night. The next night I took her to stay with Hawke's parents (who she is very close to as well). She's staying with them now, and I've told her to continue at least until next weekend.

We're all swamped with preparations for the memorial service. tika is doing amazingly well. She is, of course, devastated by this turn of events. But she will get through and go on to be a better person for having had the experience.

(Ursa) I haven't spoken with his doctor today, but I asked tika about it a couple of hours ago (she spoke to his doctor today)... There were three autopsies to be done at OHSU this morning, and apparently Hawke's was bumped to Tuesday. We'll know more tomorrow night, and I'll let everyone who subscribes to one of the lists or to GBP know what the results were....

(Ursa) The leading theories are: Arterial embolism which broke loose and lodged in the brain. Internal bleeding leading to blood pressure crash when Hawke got out of bed. Heart failure. I do believe that he died without pain, and for that we can be thankful.

(Ursa) Hawke was severely obese. His surgery was to modify his gastro-intestinal tract to make it possible for him to lose weight. He was deeply interested in educating people about this type of surgery, and created a web site for it.

(nimang) Thank you Master Ursa. Last year a girl fell into a deep depression on her deceased brother's birthday. a girl started doubting herself and wrote to Master Hawke. Master Hawke's answer was simple, and to the point. she took his response, and posted it to her web site, so that she could look at his words when she logged on. He probably never knew what a profound impact his words had on her, and her relationship with her Master. His words to her were simple: "Don't make it any harder than it need be. Keep it simple.. be pleasing."

When neala first came to Gor..she was known as kemi...and He was mad as hell that i dared portray myself as slave..again, for those of us who knew me then..you understand.. He told me straight up..that i had no business here..and that He would never accept me as slave... He made it so very hard for me...and was often harsh in His treatment... i cried, i screamed in frustration...but through it all..was determined to "show" Him that i could be a good slave...at first..it was just that..i wanted to "show" Him... but after a while, it wasnt like that anymore..i wanted so desperately for Him to accept me..and cried so many times because He wouldnt.... One night...we were all in the Tower..and He called me to Him.....and called me "slave"..we talked so long that night..i am crying as i remember that..

As many have said, He made me believe in myself..especially lately...when so many things have been happening in my life... He would just kinda listen quietly..offer a word of advice here and there..let me rant and rave and cry...i am really going to miss that about Him...

He was an actor .. a beautiful actor ... who was the best "Tevier" ever .. whenever good things happened in his life ... he would always see rainbows ... he saw one the day that swan begged her Master's collar the 2nd time .. and saw another within a couple of hours of being in ICU .. he said to tika as he looked out of the window .. still groggy .. "I got my rainbow". There was a beautiful rainbow there waiting for him

(cyra{K}) please forgive me the use of the first person... but it is hard enough to make sentences right now ..... i have always been drawn to people who were good with words, and Master Hawke was one of the best..... i was looking back today through old emails i had saved, reading his words, remembering him.. and i came across one that he wrote on the anniversary of his two year online collar with tika. it was beautiful, eloquent as he always was, and full of passion for this treasure he had collared. cyra was lucky enough to meet Master Hawke a few months back for dinner one night when he was in town... it was just the two of us.... and he told me jokingly that tika was worried that he might like me too much...(HA!) .. well as we ate, and he spoke of tika, and spoke of tika, and spoke of tika..... i wish she had been there. She would have known there was not a person in the world who could have swayed his love and devotion for her.....ever. i feel so blessed i had that one meal with him. and i regret the ones that will not be had together, that he will not be there for the visit Master and i had planned in the fall..... and that tika will not get to bask in that love and securuty for the rest of her days.
